Eagle Scout project improves Center Creek Trail

Center Creek Bridge 2

Have you ever had trouble getting across the creek at the entrance to Center Creek Trail? Well if you have, it will be much easier now thanks to this bridge constructed as an Eagle Scout project by Jonathan Fields of Boy Scout Troop 710 of Slate Creek. The bridge crosses Center Creek at an area which is slippery, and it will allow visitors to continue on the trail without having to get their feet wet.

Boy Scout Troop 710 is chartered to New Hope Christian Church and the Scoutmaster is Tammy Fields. Jonathan had three people helping him with the construction. At Breaks Park, we are excited about the cooperative effort between park staff and interested volunteers to improve the condition of the trail system, and we look forward to more of these projects in the future.
