Third Annual Holiday Dinner Show Planned
Breaks Interstate Park is celebrating the holidays with a special concert event in the Rhododendron Conference Center. The third annual Holiday Dinner Show is a celebration of the true meaning of Christmas, and is a wonderful way to enjoy this special holiday season.
The dinner show, set for Friday, December 16, will feature The Big Sandy Singers, In Harmony, Serenade, and The Little Sandy Singers. Segments of the show will highlight different types of music including gospel, holiday music, and more. All of the groups are directed by Big Sandy Community and Technical College Instructor and veteran Kentucky Opry member Laura Ford Hall.
The Big Sandy Singers have opened for Naomi Judd, performed for Presidential Candidate John Edwards, opened for the Grammy winning gospel group Gold City and Grammy-Nominated bluegrass gospel group The Isaacs and have performed at Dollywood, and the 2010 World Equestrian Games.
Included in the price of concert tickets will be a hearty homestyle dinner -- roast beef and marinated chicken breast, with side dishes, rolls, dessert and drinks. Dinner will be served in the conference center at 7 pm and the show will start at 7:30, making it a true dinner show.
With the holidays drawing near, it will be a wonderful way to celebrate with family and friends. It’s a great value for the money, and a show that is sure to please, noted Superintendent Matthew O’Quinn.
Tickets may be purchased for only $25 each. A full table with six place settings may be reserved for only $125. Seating is limited, so people are encouraged to act quickly. Tickets must be reserved in advance.
A special lodging discount is also available to ticketholders for the night of the show. Ticketholders may make reservations at the motel for December 17 for only $50, a significant savings off the regular rate.
