Breaks Park Photo Contest

Official Rules and Guidelines

Eligibility

  • The contest is open to the public.

  • Participants must have a Google (Gmail) account in order to submit an entry.

  • Participants must be 18 years of age or older to enter.

  • Employees of Breaks Interstate Park and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate to win guests prizes.

  • Photos must be taken at Breaks Interstate Park or the Breaks Park – Southern Gap property.

Entry Guidelines

  • Photos must be original and taken by the person submitting them.

  • Entries must be submitted by 5:00 PM ET on the last day of each contest.

  • Each participant may submit one photo into one category per quarter.

  • All entries must fall within one of the official contest categories listed.

Photo Editing Rules

  • Basic photo adjustments are allowed, including:

    • Color correction

    • Exposure and brightness adjustments

    • Contrast and saturation adjustments

    • Cropping

    • Filters

  • The following are not allowed:

    • Adding, removing, or replacing objects, people, animals, or elements in the photo

    • Composites, digital artwork, or AI-generated elements

    • Heavy manipulation that alters the reality of the scene

  • Photos that violate these rules may be disqualified at the discretion of contest administrators.

Judging and Voting

  • Category winners will be determined by the number of reactions—including likes—each photo receives in its category’s Facebook album.

  • The Fan Favorite winner will be the photo that receives the most reactions overall across all category albums.

  • Voting dates, deadlines, and additional details will be announced on the official Breaks Interstate Park Facebook page each quarter.

Prizes

  • Fan Favorite Winner receives a $100 Breaks Interstate Park gift certificate.

  • One winner will be selected in each category and will receive a $50 Breaks Interstate Park gift certificate.

  • Prizes are non-transferable and have no cash value.

    Usage Rights

  • By entering the contest, participants grant Breaks Interstate Park permission to use submitted photos for marketing, promotional, and educational purposes.

  • Photos may be used on websites, social media, print materials, and other promotional outlets with credit when possible.

General Conditions

  • Breaks Interstate Park reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these rules or park safety or security guidelines.

  • Drone Photography, while beautiful, is not permitted in the contest

  • Contest rules and details are subject to change at any time.

  • All decisions made by contest administrators are final.
